Caring for other materials

Haworth furniture includes a wider range of finishes than just fabrics and wood. The following surfaces and finishes might appear in any product range. Looking after your furniture will ensure a long life, and keep it looking its best.

Laminate and Melamine surfaces

General maintenance : Wipe with a mild detergent and warm water.

Stain removal : Wipe with a non-abrasive cleaner, rinse with warm water and dry with a soft cloth.

Glass

General maintenance: Spray with a glass spray and wipe with a soft dry cloth

Lacquered and Painted Components

General maintenance: Clean with lukewarm water and a mild soap. Wipe dry with a soft cloth.

Metal Components

General maintenance: Wipe with a mild detergent and warm water. For metal storage and chair bases, avoid getting the moving parts damp.

Whiteboards

General maintenance: Be sure to wipe the board clean regularly, as leaving even dry marker for any length of time can leave marks. Any standard whiteboard cleaner will work for day to day cleaning.

Stain removal: For more thorough cleaning, apply a small amount of methylated spirit to a cloth and wipe. The surface should then be wiped with soap and water and a clean cloth.

Leather finishes

General maintenance: Wipe down with barely damp cloth or use a recommended leather cleaner.

Drawer Slides

General maintenance: Slide mechanisms need no lubrication. All mechanisms have been pre-lubricated at the factory to last for the life of the product. Level the product to ensure optimum slide movement. When cleaning other parts of a storage unit, avoid getting the moving parts damp.
