Stadtwerke Wein Energie is the major power company in Vienna. They are one of the 25 largest companies in Austria and make an important contribution to the running of the city. The group operates in such diverse fields as energy, transportation and funeral services as well as investment management. In 2011, Wiener Stadtwerke posted revenues of over 3000 million Euros and employed about 16,000 staff.
Challenge
The main goal for this project was to transform the cold, unwelcoming foyer into an imnnovative, eye catching reception space. This needed to function as a waiting room for guests, but also as a space for short meetings and conversations for visitors and internal employees. It was essential that the space provided support for media as well as network connections for both Intranet and Internet access.
Haworth’s LTB lounge system offers excellent integration for power and network connectivity as well as providing a comfortable space for short term seating and informal meetings.
