This showroom opened at the end of 2009 in an up and coming area of Zürich. The location is easy to find, being situated at street level, directly opposite a tram stop, close to the Zürich exhibition centre and not far from the city centre and the international airport.
The showroom occupies 800m² of the Airgate building, home also to international companies such as PriceWaterHouse Coopers and Sunrise. The space, which previously housed a restaurant, was renovated with the help of Architect Andres Carosio.
It is the first Haworth Showroom in Europe that was designed to meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards. One of the noticeable features is the acoustic solution applied to the ceiling, giving it a wave effect.
On entering the showroom, a visitor is left in no doubt that they are in a Haworth space.
