Daniel Figueroa

Daniel Figueroa was born in 1965 and studied furniture design and interior architecture at the university of arts and design "Burg Giebichenstein" in Halle/Saale, Germany.

Since 1995 Daniel has worked as freelance designer for different furniture manufacturers and other industries. His design work includes conference, seminar and office furniture; exhibitions and fair concepts as well as home furnishing products. He has won numerous international design awards.

The first time Daniel Figueroa worked as a designer for Haworth was for Orgatec 2004. He came up with the concept and was closely involved in the creation of the booth. Since then he has also collaborated with Haworth on the red dot award winning global conference system, Planes. This was first presented at Orgatec 2006 and was very well received, greatly impressing the audience.

Planes was extended and introduced in North America and Asia in 2007, winning a Gold award for Best of NeoCon in Chicago in 2009.
