Chesser Schacht Design

Lynda Chesser-Schacht is sure of one thing:

Along with her husband Bill Chesser, they have made up the internationally successful "Chesser-Schacht" design duo since 1990.  Form and function are components of equal importance for them. These flow equally into their works during the creative process. Their office furniture series are characterised by demanding, imaginative technology.

As a room designer and decorator, Lynda is able to bring new perspectives to the creation of furniture. She fixes her sight on their entirety of a space as well as its use. As an industrial designer, Bill, on the other hand, is concerned with the technical details and finesse of the individual elements. Both bring their visions into the creative process, guaranteeing that their products meet the highest demands from an aesthetic as well as from a technical standpoint.

"We do not believe that functionality must be subservient to aesthetics - and we are not satisfied until we have equally joined both elements".

With their company motto and the quality of their works, they have convinced such renowned manufacturers as Herman Miller, Haworth, Steelcase, and Vertex. Among others, they designed the stylish "Hello" lounge chair for Haworth.
