Organic Workspace - Haworth's holistic approach

London, October 2009

Organic Workspace is how Haworth describes its holistic approach to the dynamics affecting the working environment. It also describes the ability to create flexible, motivating and sustainable workspaces, which can be quickly and easily adapted to constantly changing organisational requirements. Haworth's workspace solutions are a result of many years of experience, our global knowledge, and a universal approach to design.  This Design Point of View results in a wide range of harmonious solutions, offering our expertise to customers worldwide.

The Organic Workspace approach is a dynamic process, and as with all things which undergo constant change, Haworth finds itself in a continuous learning curve, adapting its approach accordingly. Our focus rests on integration, adaptability and sustainability.

Because the changes taking place in the working world are gaining pace, we concentrate on timeless products and space concepts. These must be future proof, cost saving and expandable.

With the products Kiron, Very and System 59, Haworth introduces a universal design approach which guarantees the integration of future ranges. "Many companies are very cautious when it comes to the acquisition of new office interiors as this is usually accompanied by high costs and reluctance to risk further investment.  In addition, they are often unsure whether their requirements will be met," states Søren Trampedach, VP European Sales, Haworth Europe. "We can offer our customers one stop solutions based on scientific evidence that is implemented in our products."

The concept is based on many years of experience as a full-range supplier of office workspaces, our international knowledge as a global company and a universal approach to design.

Haworth draws on the results of current market research results, social and corporate trends as well as the works published by social and behavioural psychologists.  "In the best interests of our customers, we take trans-boundary impacts into consideration while also making use of the global transfer of knowledge. The integration of substantiated expertise from areas such as acoustics and ergonomics also plays an important role," states Søren Trampedach.
